Creating life-long family memories
Sundecks was designed from the ground up with three generations in mind, from grandparents to grandchildren, making it one of the North Coast's most loved family-friendly retreats.
Oh, the space
From the multiple living areas with big comfy sofas and big-screen TVs, to the farm-gate at the top of the big staircase (to keep those little ones safe), lift access (available on request), three bathrooms (two with baths), and the outdoor warm shower downstairs, we've thought of everything to make every stay relaxed, accessible and enjoyable for everyone..
Look at the view
On the top level, the grandparents won't believe their eyes — two generous main bedrooms, each with a walk-in dressing room and ensuite, plus a north-facing view that stops you in your tracks. And when the grandchildren come bouncing in at dawn? Those sunrises will make early mornings something to look forward to.
A family hub
The main living area, kitchen, kids’ bathroom, and two twin-share bedrooms are located on the middle level. The heart of the home. The open-plan kitchen, with bifold windows opening out onto a breakfast bar on the deck, is perfect for cooking with the family, while the kids relax in the hammocks or play a game on the sofa. Or let the kids cook while you relax!
Snug as a bug
All bedrooms on all levels have fans and air-conditioning to keep everyone comfortable. For the parents' peace-of-mind, one of the twin-share rooms is located upstairs on the same level as the two main bedrooms within earshot so the little ones can stay close to you at night.
Let’s get outside
When you want to feel the sand between your toes, there are three beaches to choose from when you stay at Sundecks. The main Emerald Beach (patrolled in Summer holidays) is a great family beach for surfing and swimming with the Solitary Islands Surf School running lessons over summer. The smaller Serenity Beach to the south is quieter and a fantastic spot to hunt for beach shell treasures and play in the rockpools. Further south over the Look At Me Now Headland is North Moonee or Shellies as it’s known by the locals. Shellies is a left-hand headland break often shared with pods of local dolphins.
Emerald Beach is surrounded by National Park on land, and the Solitary Islands Marine Park to the East, showcasing an abundance of wildlife and untouched coastal landscapes.
If you can tear the kids away from the awesome playground beside the main beach then the family can enjoy various easy to difficult walks around the headlands or up the beaches: north to Woolgoolga, or south to Moonee. Meet the local protected karagoos and birdlife or look out to the ocean for dolphins and migrating whales.
We got you!
