The Surfers’ secluded escape

Emerald Beach offers multiple surf breaks within walking distance of Sundecks to suit all abilities and weather conditions.

Wake up with the surf…

Wake up to the sound of the waves as you look out north over Emerald Beach up to Sandy Beach Headland and beyond to Woolgoolga. Emerald Beach is suited to all levels of surfers, with a southern left-hand reef break, and a beach break for beginners.

Shall we go south?

If there’s offshore winds then you might like to jog down to North Moonee (Shellie’s to the locals) where the waves are clean with an uncrowded long left-hand break off the headland. Look out for the friendly pod of dolphins who like to join in.

Let’s see what’s up the road…

Just five minutes’ drive up the road, you’ll land at Sandy Beach, great for surfers and swimmers and a local village vibe. Further up the highway is the patrolled Woolgoolga Main beach, perfect for all surf levels, especially for the beginners.

Macauleys Beach, Diggers Beach, Park Beach, Gallows Break and Sawtell Beach are just a few of the further south options if you want to go for a drive to explore the local area.

Solitary Islands Surf School offers surf lessons for all during the summer holidays.
